This school has a history of 163 years Mr savarimuthu was the 1 principal who started this school in 1859 with 15 students. This school has been developed under the guidance of talented dedicated principals such as Mrs E.Davamoney, Mr. K Kandaiah, Mr. S. Koilpillai, Mr.S.Nawarathnam, Mr.K. Vellaisamy, Mrs. P.Pragashpathi, Mr.K.Karthigesu ,Mr. P. Ramalingam, Mrs.C.Ravichandrika,Mr.R.Wiyayendran and Mr.S.Chandramohan.
Now there are 65 tearchers in this school This school now accommodates 1000 students in classes from grade 6 to 13 and in advanced level with three streams Technolagy, Arts and commerce. This school upholds a prominent place among the tamil schools in the central province. This school has undergone tremendous revolutions during the last one and half century. During Mrs Pragashpathy's period the foundation was laid for the new school complex and in 1993 the new school complex was declared open when Mr. P. Ramalingam was the principal. on the 12th of October 1999 this school has been upgraded as a National school and from the 5" of January 2000 the name was changed to "Hindu National college" In 2000,2005 and in 2008 we obtained and developed the playground in 2½ hectares. In 2003 and 2005 we got a library. In 2008 a new office complex building was build near Arumugam Thondaman hall.In 2015 we got Technolagy Building and Mahindodaya building.
In 2013, this school has been chosen under thousand school development programs and our primary has been separated and now functioning as Hindu primary school under a separate management. We have also obtained permission to open up a technical unit in this school.
